Our field is named the Noel Wenzel Field in honour of our current Vice President, who was one of the founding members. The field has no trees near the runways and apart from a mine dame wall at the northern approach, the surrounding terrain is mostly flat and unobstructed. Although there are no houses within a kilometer, a noise limit of 97 db is in force and can be checked at the field with our measuring equipment. This noise limit is strictly enforced.
